Hi All,
For some of the contacts when we load from multiple source it is not merging properly. Due to this when we get a new delta load we are getting the error in import monitor as multiple contact found.
Due we have any job to merge automatically with out manually merging in manage contact.

Dear Selvam,
As per experience with similar error in past, I expect this error due to the data load scenario.
Although, I believe that the contacts will be merged by the job in some time if all the configurations are set up correctly.

Hi Selvam,
Can you check the affected contacts with the "Inspect Contacts" app?
There should be a tab called "Event History" which logs why a contact was not merged with another contact.
Check the configuration of your Contact Origins. There might be an origin with a setting "One Per Contact" = X that prevents the merge. For example, if a merge should happen on email address; and there are two contacts John Doe and Jane Doe with email address family.doe@gmail.com, but they also have an origin Social Security number, John's number is 123 and Jane's number is 456. Merging these two contacts would result in one contact with one email address but two social security numbers. If the origin for social security numbers indicates "One Per Contact = true" then this merge would be prohibited.
Hope this helps,
Kr

Hi Joyca,
Thanks for the update.
The problem is due to the contact in inactive status. Contact coming from one source is set to inactive status, so the delta updates are ending in error because of multiple contacts.
Do we have any option to merge even if the contact is in inactive status.

Dear thandaps,
If you are using Marketing Cloud, then merge job runs automatically every 15 minutes.
If you are using OnPremise version, then you should check report CUAN_CE_IC_TRIGGER_EIM (t-code SE38).
Either way, merging will only take place if configurations have been set up accordingly (for example ID origin priorities, sharable/non-sharable, etc).

Guilherme.
