Mkt Permission From c4c to SAP Mkt

Hi Experts,

I have questions regarding the c4c mkt integration

.1.There are separate iflows for business partner replication and marketing permission .After I have only deployed partner replication iflow , the mobile number , phone , email is already replicating through this iflow as mkt permission "yes" in mkt .

what is use of marketing permission replication iflow from c4c to mkt ? what it replicates ?

2.After I transferred the account to mkt from c4c manually , i tried running the replicate permission from the administrator WorkCentre in c4c. I got message in c4c saying that nothing got selected to transfer .

Any idea experts...

Now it's my turn to apologize for the late reply as I haven't been to SCN for a long time.

For your question, I don't think marketing permissions should be maintained in S/4 HANA by any means. S/4 HANA system - if there's not really an exceptional scenario - have nothing to do with marketing permissions.

In case you have already some permission data stored in SAP Cloud for Sales, you'd better perform an initial load first for SAP Marketing system. But after that point, SAP Marketing should be the leading system for marketing permissions. As I already mentioned in my accepted answer, even if some users want to maintain permission in SAP Cloud for Sales, they would do it in SAP Marketing system as that's how two systems are integrated in terms of consent data. So, obviously, SAP Marketing system should be the one for marketing permission data.

Hi Rashmi,

If the consents appear as "given" for every communication channel without the explicit permission from interaction contacts in question, that means you have "implicit" permission scenario running for your outbound marketing permissions. You should check out self-service configuration apps to make sure about the setup.

When it comes to integration package between SAP Cloud for Customer and SAP Marketing Cloud, as you mentioned, there are two dedicated artifacts(iFlows) regarding marketing permissions:

1- Replicate Marketing Permission to SAP Marketing

This iFlow is intended for initial load from SAP Cloud for Customer in case you have stored your marketing permissions in SAP Cloud for Customer before SAP Marketing integration is set up.

2- Request Marketing Permissions and Subscriptions from SAP Marketing

This iFlow is intended for a real-time permission & subscription maintenance. When it's properly set up, if a sales employee tries to maintain a marketing permission & subscription, they're directed/navigated from SAP C4C to relevant interaction contact factsheet in SAP Marketing. And they in fact maintain permisssions & subscriptions in SAP Marketing Cloud.Kind Regards,Hakan Köse

Thanks for your answer,sorry for my late reply to you . I have one more query here . I have a scenario where , My Accounts are coming from S/4 to MKT Cloud and contacts associated with those are coming from C4C . Ideally the marketing permissions should be maintained where ? From your Answer , My understanding is "As the C4C system is already having permission so during the initial load of contacts the permissions will come from C4C to Mkt through 1- Replicate Marketing Permission to SAP Marketing .

After initial load the permissions and subscriptions should be maintained in c4c first or in Mkt cloud ?

Do your BPs have permissions already in C4C? Is there a configuration with Implicit Permission as Yes?
