For this exception please follow the KBA note: 2108228 which can help you troubleshoot the behavior and identify the root cause of the issue

2108228 - CRM IC: Troubleshooting the Communication Channel Integration using ICI Traces

Check if the same behaviour can be reproduced in a standard scenario (copy IC_AGENT to your Z business role and add CONTACTCENTER and WBAR function profiles to work with your CTI).

Check if the behaviour is the same when enhancements are switched off?. WCF_IGNORE_ENHANCEMT - A

Hi David, thanks very much! We were able to use the SAP ICI traces to troubleshoot and match the actions between sender and receiver. The other configurations in SAP were correct.
