Merging contacts takes Anonymous over known profile

Dear Experts,

I am loading social posts into the Ymkt 1709 on prem app. The Origin _ID is not identified, although I am using the known email address (csv upload). The Sentiment Engagement app shows the uploaded post as unknown however.

If I go to Contacts now, search by email I find both the Anonymous and the known contact/customer. Merging these records always overwrites the known record and the remaining combined record is saved as Anonymous deleting all the additional (known ) data of the customer...why is that? How can I change that?

I would expect the opposite, that the Anonymous record disappears and the social post is now part of my known customer record plus the uploaded social interaction...

Priority for social media is above 50...

Hi Frank,

Please check the badi implementation. The merging and creation can be handled in BADI's
