Hi,
I want to see the proposed, planned, actual, etc. spend on all marketing programs.
I managed to create a custom CDS view extending the standard view (I_MKT_PlanCmtmtActlSpendCube) with the proposed spend field from I_MKT_ProgramPlan, since the proposed spend was not in the standard report. Then I created a custom analytical query with the new CDS view as the data source.
The problem is: I only see Programs that are assigned to a campaign but I need to see all the programs (including the ones that are not assigned to a campaign yet).
I assume that the report is on a campaign level and therefore only showing "child" programs of the campaigns. If this is the case, how can I get the report on a program level?

Hello Joel,
Unfortunately, we don't have the proper CDS view to fulfill your requirements. May I suggest that you request this feature using our customer influence tool https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/campaign/38/ideas?campaign=38, under Improvement Request Category Marketing Planning and Performance?
We take our customers' requests very seriously and we look into improving our software by evaluating the requests in this tool and the number of votes each of them gets.
Meanwhile, I can propose you a workaround if your marketing programs have their start and end dates within the same year. You can create one marketing plan for each year where you have marketing programs. Then you assign all your marketing programs to the proper marketing plans. This will have the effect to group your marketing programs under a marketing plan.
When this will be done you can use the CDS view I_MKT_MarketingPlansCube to see the proposed, planned, actual, etc. spend on all marketing programs. You don't need to filter or show the marketing plans information in your report. You can also use the delivered query C_MKT_MarketingPlansQ.
In the 1902 release, it will be possible to create a marketing plan that will spread over more than one year. This will remove the restriction that your marketing programs must have their start and end dates within the same year.
I hope this workaround will help you.
Best regards,
Marc
