Hi Experts,
I am trying to understand the following scenario:
One customer have multiples emails associated with the same customer ID . The customer have one email with opt in but the other with opt out (Contact profile view). I check the customer in the segmentation but not match the email that has been associated the opt in with the one shown in the segmentation view(attach two screenshots) .Can someone help me understand why this happens?

Dear Kevin,
Your contact has 2 emails associated with Marketing area BGE and the best record is holding the email with an opt out , so while segmenting from segmentation , EMAIL attribute which is from the best record table will show that email for that customer in segmentation , but Communication Medium Opt in attribute is not only considering the opt in for the best record email , it returns true if any email associated with that customer has an opt in and that's the reason why when segmenting with opt in and email has different results in segmentation.
Ideally without Marketing area separation enabled , the email which is opt in will be considered for the best record
2850695 - SAP Marketing - Contact Best Record Email Address not taken from most reliable Source
With Marketing area separation enabled , Best Record email has no significance as the campaigns will only consider the email associated with Marketing area of that campaign.
2768479 - SAP Marketing - Campaign not sent to Contact's Best Record Email ID
