Marketing Permission for Postal Opt-in

We are currently working on the most updated Marketing Cloud system.

We want to display the Postal Opt-in/Opt-out on the Contact tab. I have set up the configuration as follows:

  • Outbound Marketing Permission: Postal(POSTAL) to implicit
  • Created an Origin of Contact for POSTAL
  • Under Manage Interaction Content I added an entry in the assignments for the Direct Mail Interaction Type for Postal
  • Under Assign Contact ID Origin to the Communication medium: created an entry for Postal(POSTAL)

When we create an contact the postal opt-in does not show in the Permission tab. The mobile, phone and email permission is created successfully.

Is this an error with my setup? Is this functionality not avialable in marketing?

I also tried to load the permission for postal with the use of a CSV file and data import app. This gives an error because it does not recognise the address as an ID.

ANy help will be appreciated.

Hi Shaun,

you have to play around with this setting 🙂 Add POSTAL as Communication Medium depending on the Origin you use for Import.
