Hi , we use SAP marketing Cloud to manage our campaigns. We create a daily list of contacts to send an email . After each email being sent, we call a synchronous REST api on Mulesoft. We are sending each time a payload to confirm the record activity. We might call this api 5000 Times daily. Does this pattern could drain SAP ressources and so user experience?

There are no restrictions as such on the number of times a public API of Marketing is being called from external; platform. Moreover, since it is an OnPrem system hence I would also propose checking the system hardware like HANA memory installed, CPUs etc. In general SAP Hosted Marketing Cloud systems are capable of handling even more than100K calls a day very easily.
