Marketing areas are not assigned to all contacts/consumers

Hi Experts

A single marketing area is defined by the existing business model.

But when reviewing contacts not everyone has the marketing area.

The contacts are currently brought in through C4C integration.

And those same contacts are loaded via CSV several attributes to segment

And in some cases it shows is the marketing area code and the name of the marketing area.

Thanks

Elio C.

Hi eliocentenob,

for C4C-Integration in the "Replicate Business Partner to SAP Marketing"-iFlow you can set the Marketing Areas for Contacts.

If you have only one Markeitng Area in your System you can use a constant value to set that one.

In the iFlow have a look at the Mapping and search for "MarketingArea" on right (SMC) side.

Do you have an example of the CSV you are uploading? As far as I know in the "Contacts" Upload you shouldn't have the possibility to assign the Marketing Area.

Hi ahne,

are you using the new SOAP Service integration or the one that uses the CUAN_BUSINESS_PARTNER_IMP_SRV API?

Hi ahne,

I checked the standard iFlow on API Hub and saw that the MarketingAreas segment/node has to be there: https://api.sap.com/integrationflow/com.sap.scenarios.c4c2ymkt.businesspartnerreplicate/resources/ma...

I asked my CPI colleague how it is possible and how you could maybe fix it: When you extend the OData Adapter with your fields and save it, a new mapping structure is generated. Then you have to replace the old structure with the new one.

Not sure if that helps, but it's really strange that you cannot see the MarketingAreas.

Hi Team.

In answers to your questions:

kunalkumar.bansal

Q:Was the Marketing Area assigned via CSV?

R: = NO, this data is not loaded in the CSV, however the clients that are uploaded are the same ones that are brought from C4C via CPI

R: Correct in the template that you download from SMC does not have that attribute included.

Q: This option is inside SMC, in APP or in SCPI?

Hi eliocentenob,

in SCPI.

There you can find the iFlow Replicate Business Partner to SAP Marketing. Open it and choose Main Mapping. Here you can do the mapping for your Marketing Area.
