Yes, it is possible to manually modify the pricing in a sales quote after an external price request, but it depends on the integration setup and pricing determination logic in SAP Sales Cloud and SAP ERP.
For a more standard setup, follow this link https://community.sap.com/t5/crm-and-cx-q-a/add-manual-price-component-in-c4c-and-then-request-exter...
However, in our project, we implemented a custom SDK solution to meet specific customer needs.
We introduced a custom price field at the item level in the sales quote and contract, which is controlled via the external pricing procedure in SAP ERP. The ERP pricing procedure defines whether this field is editable or not. This information is then integrated into SAP Sales Cloud and reflected in the "Manually added/changed" column.
Since the standard pricing table is not accessible to users (it was hided), they can only modify the designated editable fields at the item level. Using SDK, we ensured that the manually edited values are transferred from the item table to the pricing table and then sent back to ERP for validation and recalculation via the simulation procedure.
This approach allows for controlled manual price adjustments while maintaining consistency with the external pricing logic in ERP.
