Management and planning of overdue visits

We have the following requirement:

The sales team needs to plan the visits based on the visit frequency saved in the account.

So i have 2 questions:

- Is there a way to show a notification when a visit is overdue or even better a day before the visit is overdue (based on the visit frequency defined)?

- Is it possible to display a dashboard on the homescreen that shows the employees their overdue visits based on the visit frequency saved in the account?

Hi Salma,

There are different ways to achieve this.

- The most simple one, is teaching sales to use the Visit Planner and the standard query My Accounts Overdue for Visits, prerequisite is that the sales is assigned to this customer via a sale territory

- For the notification when the visit is overdue (so the visit is already created) you should set up a workflow on the visit object.

- For having an overview over overdue visits (not yet created) based on visit frequency, i would set up a report based on a joined data sources of Account Master Data (CODCUSTOMER) and Visit Header (CODAPAVISITHB). You can then in your report include fields like Account, Recommended Latest Visit Date, Date of Last Visit, Date of Next Visit etc. The recommended Latest visit date is calculated based on the frequency and the last visit. If you are able to make a counter (define your own custom counter) on the gaps = number of overdue visits (visits that should be planned) and define maybe, you can make a KPI and show it on the home pages.

- If you have this report with a view and selection in place you can of course display the data in a dashboard.

- By the way if you have this report in place, you can of course also broadcast it to the sales on a daily bases, without the mail alert.

Hope this helps you bit moving forward.

Hi Marie, excellent advice for resolved this client request.

I take advantage of and share the complete documentation of the data source from the official SAP site. There you can download it in Excel.
