Consider this example i have, an product Item 'Car' that is assigned to 2 categories, eg 'Rental' and 'CarSharing', both have the classification feature 'numberOfSeats' assigned. Now 'numberOfSeats' would show twice under 'attributes' in the 'Car' product and you can assign different values to it. Is there a way to somehow 'link' those, to have it either display only once, and/or have the same value assigned all the time?

Jop - well that's a solution for sure, but don't you loose the data for numberOfSeats when you do that for existing products, since numberOfSeats on 'Seater' is not the same 'dataObject' as numberOfSeats fo Rental and CarSharing? Also in the Attributes Tab in the Product 'numberOfSeats' will not be in the CarSharing/Rental Section but in it's own 'Seater' section. Is there a way to just 'join' features with the same name, maybe with some customizations made in some Strategy?
