Hi Experts,
since the last update it is possible to create Events in "Marketing Events" app via file upload.
What we would like to do now is to upload Interactions (e.g. EVENT_REGISTERED) that are linked to that Event I uploaded before. This is needed by file upload (excel/csv).
So, we would like to see e.g. Contact A has registered for Event XYZ.
But in the Upload for interactions I cannot see the Event-ID or something like that by default.
The only workaround that comes into my mind is to work with a Custom-Field (e.g. "Event name"). But in my opinion it would be better to have the connection between the interaction and the created Event.
Any suggestions what would be the best way to achieve that?

Request clarification before answering.
The processing of Event Data File upload has in-built intelligence to create the standard interactions of Event_Registered and Event_Attended.
After uploading the events, you can upload participants using the relevant option in Data File load app.
Based on the participant status (registered or attended), the corresponding interaction will get created for the contact record associated with that participant.

Hi sathyanarayan,
thanks for clarifying, that helped. Think we could go with that approach 🙂

Hi sathyanarayan, sorry to bother you again but do you have an idea how we could deal with further "Event-related" interactions?
E.g. our Marketing Team would like to have an "Event Invitation" interaction type which should also be related to the Event that I could upload before.
This is not possible via file upload, is it?
BR Tobias
Event ID (Reference) can be stored in the event subnode for Interactions. You could use the same for other custom interactions too.
However, the Data file load app for interactions currently doesn't seem to support uploading of this subnode related information.
So for event related interactions apart from the standard ones of Registered or Attended, you might have to use the API route.
Okay that's what I already thought. I will open an improvement request for that. Thanks again!
