Line break is not working in notification area

Hi All,

I am trying to add a line break in the error message which is displayed in the notification area.But when it comes to notification area, the line break is sowing as it is instead of adding a line breaker..Please have a look on screenshot.

While inspection , i can see the are interpreted to < and $gt; respectively. Could you please help me on this ? is there any alternative way to add line break in notification area ?
