Issue with enabling List type custom field in Visit form template

Dear C4C Experts,

I need to add a custom field (List type field) to the standard Visit summary form. I added this field to the form template using Adobe Life Cycle and completed the data binding of the custom field.

The new updated form has been loaded as a new variant in the form template and when I generate a visit summary, in the new form the custom field displays the technical code rather than the description.

The below screenshots are from the Adobe Life Cycle application

Data binding view

The actual summary form with the technical code, rather than the description.

How to get the actual description rather than the technical code displayed in the visit summary form.

Thanks,

Siraj

Hi Siraj,

We would need to check the XML file that is sent from application to the form.

Have you checked if maybe there's a different binding for your custom field that brings the description instead?

If you don't have a XML file to check yourself you can raise an incident to support and we can check what kind of information is being sent to the form, so we can determine if the description of this custom field is included in the XML at all and if positive what is its corresponding binding to be used.

Hi Diego,

Thanks for the information.

Ofcourse there is a separate data binding field which has the description mapped. It's my bad, that I completely missed that field and mapped the technical code.

Thanks again!! I am able to fix the form and now the description is mapped to the form correctly.

Thanks,

Siraj
