Dear Experts,
My requirement is to create a provider contract automatically after a provider order is saved. These are the issues I am facing:
1) The provider contract is not automatically generated however a follow up provider contract can be created with copy control settings. the contract id is generated only after saving it. It should be generated automatically immediatly after provider order is saved.
2) Even after verifying the copy control settings, Order quantity and business agreement are not replicated to provider contract from provider order.
Please advise the settings i should make for it to work. Am i missing something in the copy control settings?
TIA.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Alok,
in order to create Provider Contracts out of Provider Orders automatically please refer to action action ORDER_FULFILLMENT (part of action profile IST_ACTION_ORDER_HEAD).
This action copies orders into contract if they are in status "Released" and "Order Modified, For Copying" and if the order is error free.
During the copy processing the system generates also the number of the contract and stores it both on order and contract (item level).
Please note:
The copy action makes use of the copy control customizing in order to determine the target transaction type and item categories. But it is not supported to use the follow-up logic to create contracts out of orders. This is why you do not get all data taken over automatically when not using the copy action.
Best regards
Stefan
