Is it possible to integrate landing page between SMC and SAP Commerce Cloud?

Hi experts

I am looking for how to integrate a landing page that is built in SMC but will be published in SAP Commerce Cloud.

(I understand that the publication can be done only in SMC, or I am wrong, but the client wants to publish it in their SAP Commerce Cloud port)

I see that in the documentation there is a communication agreement to integrate landing page, but I am not sure that it applies to integrate with SAP Commerce Cloud.

Market Data and Events:

SAP_COM_0023 Marketing: Form Integration.

SAP_COM_0148 Marketing: Form Publishing Integration.

I also see that there is another communication agreement:

SAP_COM_0342 Marketing: External Landing Page Data Integration.

Is it possible to integrate landing page between SMC and SAP Commerce Cloud?

Which communication agreement should be configured?

Is there a process flow to get an idea of how the information travels between both systems?

At the end of creating the landing page in SMC and clicking on publish, a URL is generated, this URL, what use does it have in the integration or visualization process of the landing page?

Thank you for your analysis of the case.

I see how difficult it is to publish the landing page in SAP Commerce Cloud and wait until version 2105, I don't think the client will wait that long.

I will try to convince them and of course see how viable it is for them to publish it on SMC.

My question is, and it is because it is my first time to publish a landing page, what do you mean with Cloud Platform, is it another SAP application, does it come with the SAP Marketing Cloud license?

If it is included, I would have to ask for the URL and user access to the client.

Do you have a link to see that documentation of use of Cloud Platform for SMC?

Hi ferbetray1,

Marketing Cloud test tenants will be updated in nearly two weeks. So maybe your client is willing to wait for that.

Regarding the publishing: if you create a landing page in the content studio, you can easily click on "Publish" and will get the URL where your landing page is hosted on SAP Business Technology Platform (so sorry, my bad, "SAP Cloud Platform" is no longer used as name/brand). Therefore no other license is needed. That is a functionality that comes out of the box with SAP Marketing Cloud.

The URL looks like that:

And with 2105 release you will be able to whitelist your website (where you can then embed that landing page via iframe) in an app in SAP Marketing Cloud.

Hi Elio,

at the moment if you create and publish your Landing Page in MC, it is always published "within" MC, so you receive the link where it is published on Cloud Platform. This one cannot be used on external web sites.

But as stated in the Road Map Explorer (https://roadmaps.sap.com/board?PRODUCT=42F2E964F4E71EDA978FA0FEFF8DA0E2⦥=CURRENT-LAST#Q2%202021;INNO=000D3AAC9DD21EEBA2DC11F226B741A1) and in the Preview Release Notes (https://help.sap.com/viewer/264cb9f7e21943448c0d14b2283dac29/2105.500/en-US), with 2105 release it will be possible to embed that Landing Pages via iFrame to your website.

The other workaround in my opinion would be to use the External Landing Page Integration (https://api.sap.com/package/ThirdPartyLandingPageDataIntegrationwithSAPMarketingCloud?section=Overview) which uses the arrangement SAP_COM_0342.

eliocentenob just to add, because you asked about the other Communication Arrangements:

If you don't use Landing Pages but only Forms, you have the option to download the Form as html, css and js script.

By adjusting the js file you could then also deploy this one on your web server (like Commerce).

In that case of course you have to do the styling/layout in the html and css files.

To send the data to MC then the SAP_COM_0023 is used.

Via SAP_COM_0148 you should be able to publish Forms automatically from MC to your web server.

But in my opinion that is the approach with most effort. So, from my perspective you could wait for 2105 release (08./09.05. for test system) and try the approach using iframe. Or you could go for it using the External Landing Page integration.
