Hi Experts ,
During any mkt campaign we are capturing various measures like CTR , Unique CTR , Opened messages . Is it possible to have these measures for segmentation .
I want to do segmentation based on these measures . Currently i have seen that i can do only for hard bounce and soft bounce as those are the IA types .
kunalkumar.bansal Any thoughts??
Thanks in Advance

Hi Rashmi,
yes, you can extend the segmentation and enable these measures in segmentation as well.
Based on your business scenario you can either work with the absolute numbers (# of clicks, # of unique clicks, # of opened messages) or the rates (click through %, unique click through %, opened messages %). You have to extend the segmentation as described in the extensibility guide.

Hi Tim ,
Thanks for your quick reply.
I have gone through the extensibility guide earlier also . Basically we have used this guide as a reference only for creating custom fields and enabling them for segmentation .
My question was , Is it possible to enable standard measures, we are getting in the campaign performance in segmentation ?
Its very helpful if you can provide your comments.

Hi Rashmi,
Have you tried using the segmentation attribute "Interaction Type" to segment on click-throughs etc? You can of course combine it with other segmentation attributes (e.g. campaign name/id).

Hi Rashmi,
Well then you need to use the right interaction type in segmentation. For click through it's CLICK_THROUGH.
In order to capture click throughs you need to enable it in your email template:
If this does not answer your question it would be great if you could rephrase your question and give a concrete example how you want to segment.

We already have CTR values in the campaign performance . My question was , is it possible to use CTR value in segmentation . I am not finding CTR field in the segmentation.
Please let me know if its not clear.

Hi Rashmi,
The CTR value (i.e. number of click throughs aggregated) are calculated from the interaction type CLICK_THROUGH.
To give you an example: you have an email campaign and want to segment on customers of click throughs of this campaign. You could apply the following segmentation:

In the target group are the 3 contacts that have clicked a link for the specified campaign.
Is this what you are looking for?
There is no CTR attribute. As the CTR is calculated via interactions you should segment on this interaction type.
