Dear C4C Experts,
Is it possible to add custom party roles for Visits BO. This is possible for all Activities BO (like Appointments & Tasks). I tried the fine tuning activity and I could not find any parties involved configurations for Visits.
If this is not possible, then can I restrict the search only to role "Employees" when I add the attendees in the Visit.
When I add attendees now, all the business partners in the system are displayed. I also could not find the "Role" field in the advanced search option to configure the search query.
Any help in this regard is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Siraj

Hello Siraj S,
I hope you are doing fine today. I'm proud to answering your question and I wish I could help you on this matter.
I would like to provide a possible solution to set other parties on the visit BO. It should be configured on the Business Configuration and you will find the explanation in detail reaching the KBA 2421950 - You are Unable to add Other Party Roles To a Visit - https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2421950
There, under Resolution section, you could find how-to create new Roles and hot-to assign it to visits.
In case you get any technical issue when you are configuring your business scenario, please, don’t hesitate to raise an incident to SAP Support.
Thanks in advance and best regards,

Hi Victor,
Thanks a lot for your quick support. I did check the party role definition configuration with the category "Other Party", and the relationship type field shows entries where in we can only select either Accounts or Contacts relationships.
What if I want to add another employee role party (eg: lets say I take with me an application engineer or a product manager during the customer visit). How do I add it - I can use the attendees facet and add there employees as additional attendees. But then the party role differentiation is gone and also this displays all the business partners in the system rather than just employees.
Is there a way to restrict only employees role while adding attendees in the "Attendees" facet? This could really help us in our business scenario.
Thanks,
Siraj
Hello Siraj,
In case you are not using the business partner work view, you can unassign it for your user and the Business Partner should not be visible. However, it is a workaround and I suggest performing valdation tests to confirm it.
Thanks in advance and best regards,
Victor Bertucci
