please confirm Is it mandatory to have ECC system on HANA DB to connect SAP Customer Activity Repository (CAR) ?

Correct .. It not mandatory for ECC to have HANA to connect with SAP CAR system.

Hi Amitabh,

You don't need to have ECC on HANA DB to connect to CAR.

As long as your ECC system is SAP ECC 6.0 EHP5 SP7 or higher(with business function set Retail is activated), you can connect to CAR. However you need to have SAP DMIS_2010 or SAP DMIS_2011 plug in for SLT replication(This is for master data replication from ECC into CAR).

SAP SOLMAN 7.0 EHP1 SP23 or higher or 7.1 SP01 or higher would do as well.
