Dear SAP Community,
I would like to use an external Email Editor Tool to create marketing emails. I would then add personalized attributes and condition to these emails in the Marketing Cloud and then send them using the MC.
Are there any Email Editor Tools that can integrated with the Content Studio? This way, I wouldn't have to download the email HTML and upload it into the Content Studio.
Best regards

Hi Jose,
As far as I know, there is no integration that lets you achieve what you describe.
However, I do know that the SAP Marketing Cloud roadmap (https://www.sap.com/products/roadmaps/finder-all.html) indicates the release of a new Email Editor for 2020. It should be similar to the Landing Page Editor that has been introduced in version 1905 in terms of look and feel. It should be easier for users to create emails directly in Marketing Cloud with the coming Email Editor.
Kind regards,
Charley Rabec

Hi Charley,
thank you for your answer. The information about the roadmap for 2020 is very useful.
When it comes to external email creator tools, are there tools that are recommended by SAP for the Marketing Cloud? I have tried several tools and even though they work very well, it is quite troublesome to add the SAP CSS Classes to create Blocks, without touching the HTML.

Hi jose_rangel ,
In this video: https://youtu.be/EKdG2StKvsY, SAP uses Dreamweaver.
Also, on the "what's new 1908" webinar (https://wiki.hybris.com/display/custwebinvideo/SAP+Marketing+Cloud+%7C+What%27s+New+for+1908) I asked about the roadmap of the update on Content Studio being listed only for 2020, and SAP replied (cfr the Q&A document) that there should already be something released in 2019:
Q: The "roadmap" of SAP Marketing Cloud, switched from a table with the roadmap for each release, to a roadmap for each year... The "New e-mail editor" is now listed on 2020...So we're not getting to know with more granularity than one year when this comes?
A: As of today, we plan to deliver the first version already in 2019. Feature parity will probably take us into 2020.

Hi vervinckt.joyca ,
Thank you for your answer and the resources you linked.
I had the feeling you would probably answer in this question 🙂
