Inbound email in SOIN Vs Workflow container Vs attached to the Interaction record

Hello experts,

wondering how the emails are being stored, the inbound emails that we can see in SOIN, delivered to an agent inbox and attached with an interaction record(IR), also the work-item container will also hold the email, does all 3 of them are being stored separately? I understand that actual email that we can open from SOIN is stored as a office document using KPRO but when we open the same email from IR, does it refer to the same storage? and what about workflow container?

we wanted to understand how many times and how many ways the same email is being stored by SAP?
