In smartedit sync is not working fine for few slots

We have CategoryPage called Product List under which we have few contentslotfortemplate and some contentslotforpage.

Sync button is working fine for slots from contentslotfortemplate. Whereas sync button on slots belonging to contentslotforpage showing message ‘This slot is synced from the page level.’ (Please ref SE Error.png screenshot). Although at page level also, the sync button is not enabled.

Whereas for ContentPage with similar mixture of contentslotfortemplate and contentslotforpage, sync functionality is working fine for all the slots.

Is there any change in sync functionality depending upon page type – CategoryPage and ContentPage?

we also getting same issues from upgrade, is there ant solutions for it? If we are sync content catalog from backoffice,it resolved the issue?

For me this was fixed by syncing the entire content catalogue. You can do this from the older cmscockpit or backoffice.

There is something about new content slots, perhaps they lack some sync record so it throws the error "This slot is synced from the page level"

I am not sure, i am only sharing what worked for me.I synced the entire content catalogue, then when i opened smartedit i could sync those troublesome contentslots.

Can i know what version of smartedit do you use ?

‘This slot is synced from the page level' - this message will be showed only if it is a new page that you created and never synced to online before. If it is the latest version 1905, you have to change the page status to "Ready to Sync" in order to sync from page level.
