Hi All,
Please guide here.
Based on IP address can we detect country or language in SAP CDC.
Help is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi,
on the account object you have lastLoginLocation which holds the country that the user last logged in from.
Regarding language, usually you would display the registration screenset based on the browser locale.
This will propagate into the account and will be available under profile.lang.
Hope this helps,
Igal

Hi Igal,
Thanks for input.
We got a requirement where on the basis of country we should change screen to respective language. To determine that country we though to use IP address.
Is it possible as part of current CDC to use this IP address and get country or language based on that we can change.
Also please guide us once we set locale for language in screen set, how we can use URL for language change.
Thanks in advance.
Screen set language is usually based on language preference, not country.
Just as an example, I can be an English speaker located in Germany, and I would prefer websites to be in english.
Browsers store the user language preference today and you can retrieve it in javascript on the client side and display the screen set accordingly.
Not sure about your second question, what do you mean by changing url for language change?
Hi Swapnil,
As per my experience, such detection is not possible based on IP, except the Fraud Prevention.
Best Regards,
Kunal
