Import Actual and Committed Spend -Value 0000000001 of attribute SPEND_ITEM_ID in row 1 is invalid

Hi,

When we try to Import Actual and Committed Spend we are getting the below error message, Value 0000000001 of attribute SPEND_ITEM_ID in row 1 is invalid.

How to solve the issue.

Hi Selvam,

As mentioned in help SPEND_ITEM_ID is not a mandatory field. Hence it is OK to remove the column details for this form CSV. In this case also your data should be imported correctly to SMC.

however if you need to really pass this field then make sure spend item ID(including leading zeros!) must exist in the campaign and the spend type must match with the same ID. This can be made sure by personalizing the campaign UI-->Spend tab to include "Spend Item ID" as the column/

Note that Combination of Spend Type and Spend item ID should match as in Campaign UI else you will see the error.

Hi Saurabh,

For uploading the spend details we need to have the details available in campaign then only it can be updated. Is my understanding correct?

Hi Selvam,

I have not validated myself but Functionally speaking yes you should have those spend details prior hand because you can only upload Committed Spend when you have an Identifier for that spend.line item detail else system will not be able to find the record.
