Hi,

You can make use of "Advantco" adapter.

https://blogs.sap.com/2016/04/22/advantco-salesforce-adapter-for-sap-hci/

https://cloudintegration.hana.ondemand.com/#/shell/discover/contentpackage/SAPOEMSalesForceAdapterby...

We have used the same for 1702 Hybris Marketing with SFDC for Campaign Execution using Open Channel Integration.

Thanks

Thanks,

Does that adapter fully support both inbound (contacts, leads, activity) and outbound (leads, campaign, activity) use case similar to C4C integration?

Hi,

Actually i am not sure about what all it support but in our 1702 OnPrem system we made a integration using HCI which we used to Transfer Lead(Outbound) to Sales Force as well as we Customer replication to Hybris marketing(Inbound). It is a working scenario which was implemented in 1 of the project i worked with.

So most probably it will also work for Opportunity and Activity/task as well for Outbound Business Documents for Hybris Marketing but not checked into the system.

Hope it helps.

Thanks

So for your outbound & inbound integration, do you need customize in ymkt side to fit in this integration or you can reuse ymkt and c4c integration service and just switch the iflow mapping in HCI to salesforce leveraging this adaptor?

Hi,

For Inbound, as Hybris Marketing is a oData based communication hence we simply consumed marketing odata at HCI. No additional change in marketing.

For Outbound, we had to Implement/create a new class(as a copy of standard) and invoke the web service to send out leadsto Sales Force similar to what C4C standard integration works. Also RFC, SM59, entry has to be created and STRUST certificate has been uploaded.

Thanks

For outbound, when you say a new class invoke web service, is it a customization at HCI to invoke salesforce or ymkt invoke HCI? Are you using ymkt cloud version?

No we were using OnPrem 1702 and Here yMkt class invokes Webservice to transfer the Interaction (Lead) in HCI. then customisation at HCI route it to Sales Force.

We're using cloud version. Just wondering for outbound, why not just use standard c4c integration between ymkt to HCI and plugin the adaptor for HCI/Salesforce to do the mapping. Will it work?

In cloud version you should ideally use "Open Channel Implementation" approach. In this case only msg will reach until HCI then you can use the adapter at HCI.

Your approach of reusing standard C4C integration to tranfer leads to HCI will work perfectly fine but then you cannot use "C4C lead" as action in the campaign. At the same time if i am not worng you cannot change the action label as well.

Thanks

For transfer leads, what if I keep the "C4C lead" label and action in campaign, but under the hood the HCI connects to SF instead of C4C, in theory, it could work, right.

Yes it will work but you have to make sure the Communication Arrangement for navigation is adjusted accordingly else navigation link for Transactions/Interactions wont work properly.

BTW, wondering how you installed ymkt onPrem. We're planning do similar. After installed Hana and netweaver, didn't find a clear step how to install ymkt components on top of that. Is it through "maintainence planner" XML /sapinst command or something ? Thanks.
