Hybris 1905 CPU high

We have one server for background processes only like: (Emails, Cron jobs, Solr).

Every weekend we get out of memory issue which causes CPU to go high and we have to restart the server.

On weekends, there is almost no processing happening, just jobs are starting and ending.

We have multiple Cronjobs which runs for very short interval: like 30sec, 60sec, 90 secs and so on.

When tried with increased intervals, I can see the tremendous improvement in performance.

Earlier we were using Hybris 6.2 and we never got such issue with short intervals, happening only after migration to 1905.

Can any one explain the reason behind this. We need few jobs to run on short intervals, increasing the interval would not solve the business problem.

Are the jobs starting quickly, but taking a long time to finish? Are there to many jobs queuing up?

Are many jobs running with too many threads concurrently?

If you are using the quartz cronjob expression is it in the correct format and not accidentally running every second?

Hi Leo,

Yes, there is one job having 30secs interval, 2-3 jobs at 1:30mins, and few other jobs at around 5-30mins interval.

No, there is nothing much to do for those jobs on weekends, they are just getting started and ended, hardly takes few milliseconds to start and stop.

No, there are not many threads which are running concurrently.

No, no cron expression is incorrect.
