How to use "List Price" from external pricing

Hi all,

We are using external pricing in C4C for quotes, connected to S/4HANA. Our S/4HANA consultant has created list pricing, but when we request external pricing we do not get anything back except a pricing error from S/4HANA (Pricing error: Mandatory condition is missing and two warnings; Pricing of item 100 needs to be completed / The sales document is not yet complete: Edit data). The solution has been configured for the users to enter a manual price and request pricing, but we also want to use S/4HANA list prices as a starting point in certain cases. Is this possible, and if so, how?

In the SAP Help for external pricing (https://help.sap.com/viewer/24765b551a014b779b95c7b07d8e9079/1911/en-US/8ec1eb062adf4bb3a288635172b8...) we see "Fields List Price and Product Discount (%) are not available in the product table for external pricing."

Hello Andrew,

I recently came accross a similar issue (Quotation with External Pricing in S/4 HANA gave errors in Sales Cloud).

What I did then is replicate the error in S/4 HANA by creating a Sales Quote there using the same Product/Material and Business Partner and Sales area of course.

We then found out it was the Condition Type for VAT (MWST) that was missing in S/4 HANA.

So, maybe with the help of an S/4 HANA consultant, that would be my advise to you: replicate it in S/4 HANA.

Hello andrewgriffin,

The document tells you the fields will not be displayed / inactive when you have external pricing enabled. Any price that needs to be considered in S4 when a pricing call comes from C4 needs to be determined in S4 with the parameters sent from C4. The parameters we send are document type, sales org, division, distribution channel, buyer party id with which a price procedure code will be retreived and price conditions are determined and sent to C4C. We call cod_salesorder_simulate and it further uses the standard SD pricing functional modules to do this process - any customization has to be done in S4 in one of these functional modules.

As I understand it the use of list pricing works in S4 already, but it doesn't work in C4C when we use external pricing from S4. Are you saying that there is customisation in S4 that can resolve this? Do you have any guidance on what steps we would need to take? Thanks.
