How to use mso differentiator in email vm files?

We have a problem where the buttons are rendering fine in ms outlook with one set of tags but that doesn't work in browser and vice versa.

So we need a differentiator while rendering as to if it is outlook or not to decide which code to render. Now when AEM(one of the content management systems) were rendering via html, we used something like <!--[if !mso]>

There was a mso attribute globally available. How do we do same in vm files in hybris. I have checked OOTB and couldn't find any. Please help for solution or some workaround if available.
