How to synchronize menu items in SmartEdit?

I added an item to the navigation tree in the Staged version. How can I synchronize it without running full catalog sync?

The documentation says that the navigation nodes can be synchronized by synchronizing their associated navigation components. Ok, my navigation node is linked to a navigation entry which item (component) is "CategoryPage". I opened this category page, changed the info, saved, and synched to Online. The menu item is still in the staged version.

Hello Rauf, In your case, the menu item should go out of sync which you can sync to online.

Having said that, I realize that this is not the most intuitive, we have it on your road map to allow syncing directly from the navigation tree.

4 years later I don't see that functionality offered in SmartEdit. Editing a single CMSLinkComponent requires a full catalog sync? Can't even hot sync a single item via backoffice. It is full sync or nothing. I am trying to generate a catalog diff report and that feature does not work either (and never did). Anyone came out with a solution?
