How to read PDF file and create a shopping cart with existing data

Hi Experts,

Would like to upload PDF file with Products code and quantities, these has to create a shopping cart with valid products.

Could you please suggest the way we can proceed to read the PDF file from hybris and add the the items to the cart.

I'm sure a PDF file is possible, but I imagine that will take more work, since you have to parse the text from the PDF file. Why not use the existing Excel import function?

Hi ,

There is no OOTB (Out-Of-The-Box) support for your requirement. You need a Java library like Apache PDFBox or iText to read the PDF. You will need to read the line items from the PDF and add them to the session cart. Of course, it would be much easier for you if you can convince your business to use CSV file instead of PDF file.
