How to override Importer jalo class

Hello Experts,

We need to override importNext() method of Importer class for one of our requirement. But Importer is OOTB jalo class. So can you please help me, how to do override.

Hello!

Lets say, you override it in a custom class called: de.hybris.custom.MyCustomImporter by extending the Importer. Then, define a spring bean for this class with id being the Qualified name of Importer.

Something like: <bean id="de.hybris.platform.impex.jalo.Importer" class="de.hybris.custom.MyCustomImporter"/>

However, do remember 2 points:
1. Importer is used by impex framework. Any changes to Importer may have a considerable impact in your project. Know what you are doing. 🙂
2. Jalo is deprecated and changes to this layer are not recommended. In the future releases, you may have to migrate this jalo code to SL.
