Hi experts
Can you share if there's a way to mass delete parent accounts? For my client, they replicate BPs from S4 which they automatically attach a generic parent account for some reason. I now need them deleted because it's messing with our C4C reports (top-level account related reports).
So far I've tried the below but failed/doesn't work.
1. Export Accounts, delete all fields except the first three (Object ID, External Key, Account ID), and the "Parent_Account_ID" field. Deleted contents of the Parent_Account_ID field, import, import was successful. But parent accounts weren't deleted.
2. Tried exporting Business Partner Relationships, but "parent account relationship" I guess isn't consider BP relationship as the export didn't show the parent account.
There's about 14k accounts with this generic parent account I need to delete. Is there any other way I can do this in bulk?
Thanks

Hello denmar.l.villanueva,
The best way to remove or disassociate parent account from child account is via Data workbench only. Ensure you delete the Parent Account ID & Parent Account Name and try to update.

Hi Satya
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately this isn't possible. According to this link, metadata for CorporateAccountCollection has parent account ID as NOT updatable. When I checked Odata Service Explorer, I did see the same thing.
