Hi,
I have implemented territory management in SAP CRM. Accounts are assigned to Territories based on rules created for territories.
Now, If I want to change an active rule for a territory, I change its 'Valid To' date in 'Rules' assignement block of that particular territory(Sales Operations-->Territories).
After doing this, though this rules become ineffective after the 'Valid to' date(i.e. accounts assigned based on thsi rules are unassigned from the territory) but still its status is displayed as 'Active'. Do we have any SAP Note or any other alternative so that all such expired rules are displayed as inactive and user has the option to delete them(as only Inactive rules can be deleted).

Hi Amit,
I don't see any problem with the scenario that you have mentioned. The territory rule is Active for the
period to which it has been defined. You cannot make the rule inactive. For that means, the past rules
defined by this rule are either not valid or should be ineffective which cannot happen. You have the
option to revise the rule. But then for that to become effective, you will have to run the process
relationship report each time when you revise the rule.
