How to make the Sales Organization column in the sales tab of Product Administration as mandatory

Hi Experts,

We are looking for a way to make the Sales Organization column or the Entire row in the Sales Table as mandatory from Adaptation mode.

Please let us know how to achieve this and if this is not possible, then is there any way that to auto determine the Sales Organization whenever a user tries to save a new product.

You can reach this screen in C4C by going into Products --> Product Administration --> Open a product --> Sales Tab

Hello,

You can not put a validation on the Table row for already saved records via adaptation as of today because table item instance is not accessible via rules framework. Only root level fields or single instances are allowed to be accessible via UI Rules.

However, you can place a validation on field level for the model dialog/pop up, whenever a user is trying to add a new sales area data for products using /Root/SalesProcessInformationModification/SalesOrganisationID as the field to be validated.

AFAIK, there is no standard way to assign a sales area based on logged-in users because in most of the cases, products are created via external sources like ERP or CRM integration user and therefore you might need to implement a custom ABSL script to achieve your requirement.
