We are validating the integration of SAP Commerce Cloud with SAP CAR to centralize promotions from SAP CAR.
But several questions arise:
What can be applied to those promotions that are generated from SAP CAR in Commerce.
For example:
- Buy item A and get item B as a gift
- Buy item A and get the second A at 50% discount
- Buy 2 items C for the price of 1. (Although this option seems more like a combo to me, how can this promotion be managed in SAP Commerce Cloud?)
- Pay with credit card X and opt for a discount or discount coupon.
These are some of the scenarios to handle, but my question is what happens with the Commerce promotions module?
Does the Commerce Promotions Module take what CAR sends?
They can work at the same time the Commerce with CAR promotion module or must work one at a time.
In case the CAR or Commerce integration goes down, the Commerce promotions module can be used.
