How to load Geoinformation (Longtitude and Latitude) with CSV File for Contacts

Hello together,

when loading contacts into the Marketing Cloud the fields LONGTITUDE and LATITUDE are missing. In older releases these fields were still visible? Do we have to use OData to load them? We would like to show Geosegmentation in a customer demo.

Hi,

You can use Odata(API_MKT_CONTACT_SRV or API_MKT_INTERACTION_CONTACT_SRV) to import Geocordinates.

However, for demo purposes, I always prefer to use the "Data File Load" app to import the Geocordinates. (see attached example)

Hi Saurabh, we have loaded the geolocation into the system via file upload. There were no errors in reference to the upload.

Now we are strugling to show attribute in segmentation. We have checked within segmentation object

SAP_CE_INTERACTION_CONTACT all kind of attributes but no data for map is shown. Do you know why?

Hi,

You have 2 options here. If you want to use "google maps" kind of visualization then just enable the "Geolocation" attribute in segmentation object configuration SAP_CE_INTERACTION_CONTACT.

Otherwise, if you want to use absolute value for Latitude & longitude then enable the same in the SAP_CE_INTERACTION_CONTACT segmentation object config.
