How to Get the ChaRM Current Status and Next status In the BADI ORDER_SAVE or CRM_ORDER_STATUS ,

I need to send the CD details to a 3rd party system and based on the response I need to stop the status change , if Fails .. 

SO for that I thought of 2 BADI ORDER_SAVE or CRM_ORDER_STATUS which can be good option , but CRM_ORDER_STATUS~before_change and ORDER_SAVE~CHECK_BEFORE_SAVE is my option as I need to stop the Status change process .. Here I need to check If the DB status is E001 and to be status is E0002 In that case only I need to trigger the code .. 

Now the situation is If i try to fecth the Data via CRM_ORDER_READ or asscoaited FM's like CRM_ORDER_READ_DB  or CRM_ORDER_READ_OW I am only getting the Old status .. How to fetch the to be status or the status that is in buffer ?
