Hi,
I'm looking for a way in Marketing Cloud, to distinguish Accounts who do, or do not have any contacts linked to them.
In the "all accounts" segmentation I did find an attribute "number of active contacts", but that still doesn't cover my requirement as it only counts contacts who had a recent interaction. I just want to know whether any contacts exist on the account. How could I find that?

Hi Joyca,
do all the contacts come from C4C for example and have an origin SAP_C4C_BUPA?
In this case we built a segment based on "All Accounts" that included all Accounts with a Contact with Origin SAP_C4C_BUPA (using attribute "ID-Origin" in attribute group Contacts").
Then we subtracted that segment from basic segment.
Maybe that would work for you, too.

Hi Joyca,
In All Accounts Segmentation profile , you will have an ID Origin attribute in attribute group Contacts, can you try to select all the origins under Contacts Origin and exclude the same which should give you the count of accounts without any contacts. Can you try and let me if that works for you ?

Thanks schneidert and sarvan007 , I had to search a bit whith of the four available "ID Origin" fields was the correct one,
there was ID_ORIGIN, IC_ID_ORIGIN, IC_CONT_ID_ORIGIN and IA_CONTACT_ID_ORIGIN available.
Correct one turned out to be IC_CONT_ID_ORIGIN 🙂
Any idea which attribute I could use in the "All Accounts AND Contacts" segmentation object?
Because there the IC_ID_ORIGIN points to the accounts and contacts both.
Use case would be to make a segment:
- all contacts with some attributes
- plus all accounts who do not have any contacts, with some attributes
