I don't really get, what are your requirements. If you want to allow filtering by additional fields in Simple Search and Filters then I would advice you to go through configuration documentation of widget and use standard cockpit-configuration mechanism. Depending on where you are using this filter and what field you wish to add there, you may also need to configure a proper indexed property (it will automatically match the one form Simple Search and Filters, if names are same).
