Hello,
we would like to create a custom Dashboard and add custom Sales funnel with custom filters to it. We have tried to create a custom data sources but somehow these are not working fine. Does anyone have step by step manual for achieving this?
Best regards,
Miha

Hi Marie,
hmm, "after you assigned the report to a work center..."-> I tried to assign it on the second tab but my roles are missing there. Is there any restriction what is shown there? I think that this is the main issue here why I am not able to configure it.

Hi,
You can indeed use the data that is already in the system. After you assigned the report to a work center - you also have to assign it in the second tab to the appropriate business role that you have defined eg. the sales manager role. For testing reasons also assign it to your administrator role. I also often set up a test employee (with sales data and assign it to the appropriate organizational unit) and a test user (and assign the relevant business role).
After you defined your report, you define in your report your own specific selection variant - here you can select your own sales cycle and only opportunities that are created against that sales cycle will appear when you run the report. If you don't see the sales cycle field yet in your selection - you can add it via the view tap and press the add fields button.

Hi Miha,
Have you done the opportunity configuration? Set up your own opportunity cycle, phases etc.?
You do not necessarily create new data sources.
You have to set up own reports based on these (standard) opportunity data source and enter in the selection criteria your own opportunity sales cycle and define a report view.
When you have defined your report you have to assign it to the appropriate business roles.
Then you define your dashboard and select your reports with the defined views and selections and publish it.
So the report, its view and selection for the correct filtering is a key step.

Hi Marie,
Thank you for the clarification! We have a custom cycle and phases and want to create a simple sales funnel graph that would show opportunities with our sales cycle (it is default one) with phases and custom calculated opportunity value field.
I have two questions:
1) is it possible to use our own data instead of Test data context when building report?
2) we assigned the report (it's name is "v2") to Opportunity workcenter but still it is not shown in the search of reports when building the dashboard
Please advise
MIha
