How to change a read-only field which is located in different Deployment Unit on C4C?

Hello everyone,
I would like to change marketing permissons of a customer in extended CUSTOMER BO. The BO Customer has the DU Foundation. Marketing permission is read-only in this solution because marketing permission has DU CRM. I am unable to make any changes in this field.
In this below blog stefankrauth recomended changing deployment unit which is not possible for me. As a second solution he recomended using web service for this issue.

Can anyone help me about how to use option 2?
