Hi Community,
I am trying to add a restriction rule to a field that is present on a ticket, in the Quick View. However, when I click on the rule in adaptation mode, it says 'Apply' but the list is empty and it doesn't let me add a new rule to the list. When I try to do the same in the detailed view though, surprisingly, I do see the list and am able to add rules and validations to it too. This adding of the rule in detail view though, doesn't automatically apply to the field in quick view and it seems that we need to add the rule again in this view. But as mentioned earlier, this doesn't solve our problem as still are unable to add the rule in Quick View because the rule list appears to be empty.
Do you have any suggestions on how I can make the rules and validation list visible for fields in the Quick view?
Thank you

Hi,
WIth Fiori UI at first, you need to create a rule under "Rules and Validations" node as shown below and then only when you click assign rule the same will be appearing in "Assign Rule" list as shown

Hi Saurabh,
Thanks for the quick response on this issue. However, as mentioned, the list of rules and validations are already set up under implementation- I actually see around 10 rules and one of them is applied to the field in "Detailed view" of the ticket. But the same rule isn't applied on the field in the "Quick view" and the list, particularly in this view, appears to be empty and none of the created rules are visible here. This is problematic as if a user decides to make edits to the ticket through Quick View, it is not considering the rule that we want on that field.
I repeated the steps in Quick View- to navigate to Implementation and I then I could see that I need to add the rules again here. This was very helpful. Thanks Saurabh for sharing the help video as well 🙂
