Hi Guys ,

We have a lang which is not in OOTB . As you know , localize files are generally in every extension , like ,

hybris/bin/ext-commerce/warehousing/resources/localization/warehousing-locales_de.properties

I need to localize all properties file for my language.

Classic way :

Create a folder like the related extension folder path under the "customize" folder. I mean , for instance, If you want localize for warehousing extension , then create ;

hybris/config/customize/ext-commerce/warehousing/resources/localization/warehousing-locales_tr.properties

  • Last step: execute "ant customize" so that all your new properties file copy to related extension.

  • Is there more efficient and easy way?

  • How can I distract properties files of all extension which I use ?

  • After distract all files , I will sent to our Agent so that all are translated to our language. So how can I easily put all files to back. ?

In essence , distract all , send to Agent , Translated by Agent , And put all to back.

Thank you.

Good news!

The platform does not really care in which extension the translations are located.

This means:

  • create mycustomtranslations extension (or re-use an existing custom extension)

  • add a new file for your new language in there (e.g. mycustomtranslations/resources/localization/mycustomtranslations-locales_tr.properties)

  • add all new translations (for any type you need) to this file

There is no need to use ant customize to copy the translations to out-of-the-box extensions, a single file is enough, which hopefully simplifies the workflow with the agency.
