How to add external image url in multimedia

Hi all,

I need to add external image url into media table in hybris. I tried adding the http image url in product cockpit under multimedia -> gallery image,its not accepting the external URL. How we can achieve this by adding external image url under multimedia for products.

Hi,

It is not possible to give external image url using product cockpit or backoffice . However, it is possible to give external image using impex or hot folder config using @media[translator=de.hybris.platform.impex.jalo.media.MediaDataTranslator]

eg. INSERT_UPDATE Media;;mediaFormat(qualifier);code[unique=true]; $catalogVersion;@media[translator=de.hybris.platform.impex.jalo.media.MediaDataTranslator]

;1200Hx1200W;external.jpg;;http:http://external.jpg

Hello ,

Unfortunately, as far as I know, there is no such functionality. Media can be stored locally or you can use remote services. With remote service storage, you can choose between three ready-to-use implementations for Amazon S3, Windows Azure Blob, and MongoDB GridFS.
