Standard field are already part of the relevant data sources and reports , you can check for them under Business analytics work center in opportunity based reports and incase of extension fields , i have already shared the answer below on how you can add them

If still there is something missing , you may report an incident with details on the field on where you are expecting.

This is clear for standard fields. My question regards Fields created via SDK. How can these fields be added to a Data Source?

  1. Open the solution in SDK.
  2. Select the .xbo file where you have added the extension field which you want to enhance to the report/ forms .
  3. Right click and select the option Enhance Form/ Enhance Report.
  4. The system will ask you to select the extension field that you want to add.
  5. Select and click on OK. System will take you to the further usage screen of the UI.

Hi burzmins,
In that case you do as you initially described: Start adaptation → right click on a custom field → go to parent element → click Edit button → click "pencil" icon to switch to edit mode → go to Reporting tab and select sources in which you want to utilize the field → click save → click End adaptation.
I hope it clarifies the steps 🙂

Hi Piotr,

Sales Cycle is a standard oppy field and should be part of a standard DS already.

Cheers, Marcus

  1. Go to the screen where the fields are maintained.
  2. Click on Adapt > Edit Master Layout.
  3. Hover over the extension field and click on Change Properties > Field Definition.
  4. Go to the tab Reporting and add the field to the required data sources.
