Hi Experts
I have seen so many blogs which talks about how the Commerce website with integration with SAP CDC can Turn unknown users into known, loyal customers, and below is the diagram that shows the architecture in the C4HANA suite
But we don't have a commerce cloud with us, instead, we have a Self-service portal where we have around 10-15 Utility products and customers can buy from there, we would want to capture consent and customers data and be able to do some decisions on what products to show for the logged-in customer
we would like to understand How the SAP Customer data cloud is relevant for Utilities Industries?
normally Utilities don't have a large no of products like amazon,
is it a good choice to go with SAP Customer data cloud for Utilities Industries?
Can you please help
Thank you
Kishore

I have been working with a large utility customer now that has deployed SAP CDC and have leveraged the entire suite of CDC capability except for social login. Typical use cases where utilities will benefit from such solutions.
- Single view of customer information across the enterprise.
- Single sign-on integration with legacy systems where SAP CDC can act as the SAML IDP and different systems can initiate SAML flow with CDC to get authentication information.
- Central system that manages the customers' marketing preferences and most importantly their consents to comply with global GDPR requirements.
- Integrate easily with downstream systems where you can either push or pull data from CDC build powerful analytics and start progressively profiling your customers.
There are many more. The scope of problems that you can solve with SAP CDC is broad and does not restrict to commerce alone.
