Hello experts!

Help me with a simples question. Is there a limit to how many line itens I can add to a Sales Contract in C4C?

My customer has a need of at least 2000 itens on a single sales contract and I'm not sure if this can be done.

Thank you!

Dear Marcio Shimazaki Kubota,

I dont think there is such limit suggested by SAP. But adding 2000 Line Items may take a bit more time to perform the activities related to document.

Hi Manideep,

I found the following statement in C4C-1811 Documentation:

"You will notice a decreased system performance when working with sales quotes or sales orders exceeding 500 products. Adding products to the sales document affects the performance of all item-related functions, such as pricing, output, or transfer to external systems" (screen-shot-2019-01-21-at-34202-pm.png)

Should we expect performance of sales contracts being affected when +500 items are added to sales contracts?

Hello Marcio Shimazaki Kubota,

There is no limitation for adding no of Line Items to a Sales Contract in SAP C4C but some other limitations as below

C4C sales contracts limitations:

Tracking of call-off quantities

Account hierarchy

Territory assignment

Sales data defaulting

Formatted text

Blocking reason for contracts

Global search

You can create Product Lists with your required active products (2000 or as many as you want) and use same Product Lists in your Contract.

If this answer satisfy your query, then please do not forget to click on “Accept” this answer as correct one to benefit others as well.

Thanks and Regards

I don't have access to a C4C system right now, but I have a gut feeling your question could have a very easy answer. Are you able to assign item number manually? If so, you could easily try entering a value like 99999999999 to see the limit of the attribute. Have you at least not tried that?

Also, for compatibility reasons to SAP ERP, the field probably is at least 6 digits long (and maybe at most as well), as in ERP the data element for item number is 6char.
