How is the Pending Period handled for historical purchases?

Hello Emarsys Loyalty Add-on Experts,

I have some question related to the Emarsys Loyalty Add-on, maybe you can help:

My Loyalty plan is set up to give out points for historical purchases when user joins the program. The allocation period is set up to 30 days. What happens if a user makes a purchase and within two days joins the program:

1. Will the purchase go into pending mode for 30 days from the day the user joined?
2. Does the pending period start from day of purchase, so if he joined after two days, pending period will be 30-2=28 days?
3. Or, will the points be confirmed straight away!

Hi,

The pending period starts from the day of purchase, so in our example, the points will be confirmed in 28 days: 30 days of allocation minus the 2 days that passed since the purchase.
