How is product availability determined for collect-and-ship scenario in CAR (OAA) for DCs?

Hallo SAP Experts,

Our company are trying to implement Omnichannel Article Availability and Sourcing (OAA) in SAP CAR, and SAP/4HANA advance Available-to-promise (aATP). SAP Commerce cloud is the frontend and SAP S/4HANA for Retail is the backend system.

In collect-and-ship via DCs scenario, online shop customers select the favorite article from catalog, put it in the shopping cart, and then check out , and at the end submit the order, can someone help me out, and explain to me how does the system determine the product availability of the requested article on the required delivery date between OAA and aATP? Is from S/4HANA (aATP) or in CAR (OAA)?

What areas will be impacted to/from OAA by activating aATP in the latest version of SAP S/4HANA ?
